Forgiveness (written by Sarah Bennett)
To forgive myself is to trust who God made me to be,
To stop believing the shame others can’t see.
It means I can let go of mistakes I’ve made,
And rest in who I am – a beloved child.
It means I can stop striving to earn His love,
Accept the grace and mercy He sent from above.
There is freedom to be found when I forgive myself,
So long as I say the words and live them out.
I have been so grateful lately for the people God has introduced to my life. I have had conversations surrounding the decisions we make, how we see God in them, and conversations about poetry and creativity! I’m motivated in my writing and to share more of it once again, no matter how small or unpolished it seems.
Happy Saturday!
Sarah xx

There is certainty of forgiveness by and through God’s Spirit. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty!

Thanks Sarah, Psalm 51 is a great example of God’s forgiveness and restitution.
