Ribbons / Poem

Ribbons (written by Sarah Bennett)

My life is made of ribbons,

Some I try to forget.

I see ones white as snow,

Others that are red.

Those I have offered up to God,

Bring me the peace of the Lord.

The ones I have yet to surrender,

Weigh heavily on my soul.

I turn my face to Jesus Christ,

And lean on the choice He made.

To save all of us from our sin,

And redeem our mistakes.

I don’t need to run away,

Or distance myself from God.

When He knows of all I am,

And still offers a hand to hold.

I have been enjoying writing more in my quiet times, in that stillness of morning.
