The year is moving quickly, and here we find ourselves again, remembering the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I always appreciate rereading part of the gospels during the Easter period. It’s sobering, to try and grasp all that Jesus went through on our behalf. Knowing that it isn’t Him who deserved to go through it, but us. How grateful we should be.
No matter what is going on in my world, reading of the lead up to Jesus’ death, His crucifixion, and His resurrection, always brings me the correct perspective. How can I be selfish when the only one not deserving of it went through a death so humiliating and painful?
It is a joyous day to celebrate the power of Jesus and His resurrection, and what that means for us. How we can live in freedom, knowing we are saved by Him and can be with Him for eternity. God sent His son that we might have life through Him. Jesus is our mighty Saviour, Healer, and Friend.
