November 2021 Reads

Honestly, I’m not pleased with only finishing one book this month, and it wasn’t even a great one, but in my spare time I have been doing a lot of cross-stitch, so that’s taking up a lot of my time. I have also made my way through other books this month, I just haven’t completed them. (Like Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald.)

Blue Gold by Clive Cussler: ah, the one (1) book I finished. I read this for university as I am currently studying Crime Literature. This book wasn’t terrible, and despite the many pages I found it quite easy to get through. However, it wasn’t a fantastic book. It looks like the type of book you buy for $3 at a newsagent’s shop when you’re on holidays at the beach, and it read like one too; a lot of stereotypes when describing women and a predictable plot for the male leads. However, a vaguely engaging mystery. 3 stars.
