The cheese on my toasted sandwich hasn’t completely melted, which sounds like a first world problem because it is one.
I’m taking a lunch break – in between two lectures – because no matter how busy I am I do not forget to eat. (Seriously, how do people do that? If anything I eat more because food sure is an enjoyable way to procrastinate.)
I watched my first lecture yesterday for my writing unit at university. The assessments, all creative-writing-based, mean I’ll start to write more than I talk about writing and I’ll get feedback on my short stories. This excites me, though after I submit the first one (due in a couple of weeks) perhaps I’ll be terrified. Even so, I’ll be grateful to know how someone views my writing.
The other day I sat on a train for seven hours, which isn’t as bad as it sounds when you have a good book, only I didn’t have a good book, I had Wuthering Heights, which made me more nervous than the train delay.
I did, however, manage to get through the entire novel (400 pages) though the last 100 are a blur of confusion.
But it’s finished! I can now watch the movie guilt-free (hopefully the movie will explain the ending) and move on with my life. (Well, I guess not completely move on because I have to write a 2,000 word essay on it, but I’d rather write about the confusion than read about it.)
My point is, step one is complete. Wuthering Heights, the ultimate hurdle, has passed.
And now, to another lecture.

p.s. I hope you’re not tired of hearing about uni yet, because this will be my life for the next three years, and you bet I’ll keep writing about it. Though perhaps in the next few months the excitement will wear off and I won’t want to mention it ever again. Who knows?
