The Art of Being Honest (part 1)

I’m apologizing in advance for the short post, but it’s been a long day and I don’t have much time to write all that I want to, so you’ll have to bear with me and this short post, then wait until tomorrow to read part 2 of this post. (Wow, how many times did I just say the word post?)

What I learned today is to use your words. Say what it is that you need to. Don’t walk away from a conversation thinking ‘I wish I had said this, and this, and this, and this” because, and I know this from experience, it sucks.

It’s one of those things that I keep getting better at, and that I will always keep getting better at. One conversation isn’t going to make me magically talkative or confident in my words, but it will be me putting one step, slowly but surely, in front of the other, and soon I’ll look back and realize I’ve come a loooong way. I already have come a long way in this area, but looking ahead, I see much room to grow.

Use the voice God’s given you, campers,

Sarah xx
